2023 Nest

This medium-bodied white wine blends Viognier, Gruner Veltliner, and Sauvingon Blanc with Chardonnay to add interest to the nose, mouthfeel, and overall taste. The three additional varietals add floral aromatics to the nose and contribute flavor concentration to the overall blend. Although the wine has been fermented dry (no residual sugar), a hint of honeydew creates a nice roundness while maintaining a lemon-zest freshness on the palate. Local Upperville artist Holly Ward Bimba painted the label artwork, inspired by a bird’s nest the owner, Kiernan, found in the vines of the “House” Vineyard during our first harvest in 2014.
